DotEcon presentation on the economics of roaming charges

Roger Salsas and Christian Koboldt present their paper ‘Roaming Free? Roaming network selection and inter-operator tariffs’ at the 13th European Regional Conference of the International Telecommunications Society in Madrid.
The paper analyses the incentives of mobile network operators (MNOs) when setting inter-operator charges, and the
effect that a limited ability of MNOs to direct traffic onto specific networks would have on this. The paper also assesses the likely impact of mergers on international roaming
charges. An updated version of the paper is available as DotEcon discussion paper here.
