On November 16th, the Danish Telecommunication Authority (formerly the National IT and Telecom Agengy) has launched a public consultation regarding the 800MHz auction in Denmark. The consultation covers:
- the spectrum to be auctioned, proposed technical restrictions to protect neighbouring DTT use and other licence terms;
- the proposed coverage obligations targetted at improving high speed broadband availability in areas worst affected by the lack of high speed broadband;
- various features of the proposed auction including reserve prices, the spectrum cap and the use of a combinatorial clock auction format; and
- the proposed award timetable.
DotEcon and Analysys Mason are advising the Danish Telecommunication Authority on the 800MHz award. The consultation documents and draft Information Memorandum can be found here.
