DotEcon advises Danish Government on auction of 3G licence

DotEcon, in a consortium with Analysys, has been appointed as advisor to the Danish Government in relation to the sale of 3G spectrum. The spectrum became available in January 2005 when, as a result of TeliaSonera’s takeover of Orange, one of the four licences awarded in 2001 was returned. The Danish National IT and Telecoms Agency (NITA) has published a Preliminary Information Notice providing initial dealts of the planned auction process and timescale, and further information for parties interested in acquiring a 3G licence. A copy of the Preliminary Information Notice can be downloaded from NITA’s website.
