DotEcon advising Ofcom on Digital Dividend Review

Ofcom has appointed a consortium consisting of DotEcon, Analysys, Mason Communications, Aegis Spectrum Engineering and Dr Damian Tambini to undertake a study to further Ofcom’s understanding of UHF spectrum and its possible uses. The objective of this study is help inform Ofcom’s policy development which is expected to result in the publication of a consultation document before the end of 2006.

The spectrum that will be considered during the study will include: 112MHz of spectrum released by the Digital Switchover (14 x 8MHz channels) and the interleaved spectrum within the 32 digital terrestrial television channels.
