The presentation by Dr Christian Koboldt – ‘Much pain for little gain?’ – takes a critical view of software patents. The symposium organised by the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM) at Bournemouth University brought together academics and practitioners in the field of intellectual property rights to address appropriate forms of protecting software-related innovations.
