The European Spectrum Management Conference has an established reputation as the major European event of the year for stakeholders in the field of spectrum management, bringing together more than 250 participants.
As a knowledge partner for this event, DotEcon ran the pre-conference workshop on 22nd June focusing on ‘Spectrum auction design and bid strategy’ and presented at the main conference.
For the workshop, DotEcon drew on its experience as the leading supplier of design and build services for complex, high-value auctions, having designed and implemented many auctions for radio spectrum around the world.
Delegates at the ‘Spectrum auction design and bid strategy’ workshop:
- learned about how spectrum auction designs can impact on market outcomes;
- gained an insight into how to develop a successful bid strategy;
- participated in a number of auctions using different formats, including combinatorial bidding; and
- used DotEcon’s WebBidder electronic auction system.
The workshop was aimed at anyone involved in spectrum allocation, either from a bidder or public policy perspective, particularly useful for anyone planning to run or participate in a spectrum auction.
