Ofcom publishes consultation on spectrum auction designed by DotEcon

Ofcom has published its proposals for the award of the spectrum bands 1781.7-1785MHz paired with 1876.7-1880MHz, previously known as the GSM/DECT guard bands. Subject to consultation, Ofcom proposes to award between 5-10 licences using a sealed bid menu auction format designed by DotEcon. Prior to this decision, DotEcon undertook a detailed assessment of allocation options for the spectrum and organised experimental testing of the proposed auction design. You can download a copy of the consultation from Ofcom’s website.
