OFT publishes DotEcon research on commission rates

The Office of Fair Trading has published research commission from DotEcon on competition in markets with commission rates. The report examines the potential reason for the use of commission rates in the market place, and the impact that such a choice of payment structure can have on competition and consumer welfare, drawing on both theoretical analysis and a number of case studies (which are provided as an annex to the main report). The report and the annexed case studies can be downloaded from our reports and submissions page.
