OFTA, the Office of the Telecommunications Authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has successfully completed its auction of radio spectrum for the the provision of Broadband Wireless Access Services, using DotEcon’s WebBidder platform. This was the first time that the Hong Kong Government has an Internet-based bidding platform. Three successful bidders have acquired a total of 90 MHZ of spectrum in the 2.5GHz band.
