Nkom (Norwegian Communications Authority), the Norwegian Telecoms regulator, has launched a consultation process in relation to the award of spectrum licences for the use of frequencies in the 6 GHz, 8 GHz, low 10 GHz, high 10 GHz, 13 GHz, 18 GHz, 23 GHz, 28 GHz and 38 GHz bands. Nkom proposes to use an auction process and has shortlisted two auction formats: the Combinatorial Multi-Round Ascending (CMRA) auction and a simple clock auction. The consultation documents include an outline of the auction rules for these two formats. Details about the consultation process can be found on Nkom’s website.
DotEcon is advising Nkom in the design and implementation of this award.
