Tasneem Azad, previously Deputy Director of Competition and Regulation at Postcomm, the UK regulator for postal services, has joined DotEcon. Tasneem’s postal experience is closely tied to the liberalision of the UK postal market. She has also worked on Royal Mail Group’s interim and first full price control, and on the framework for access to Royal Mail’s network. She has also assessed cases of anti-competitive behaviour and managed competitive market reviews. Prior to Postcomm, Tasneem was a senior fast-stream economist at the UK Office of Fair Trading and the Cabinet Office. Tasneem has also advised the European Commission’s DG Enlargement on competition and regulatory acquis in, amongst others, Estonia, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia.
